"I first became interested in complementary therapies during my nursing career when I undertook a 2-year course in aromatherapy and massage and had the opportunity of gaining an insight into a wide range of other complementary and alternative therapies.
As part of my higher diploma, I was able to incorporate the use of aromatherapy and massage into the holistic care of my patients (with the patient’s permission). During this time it confirmed to me the therapeutic use of touch, even with a simple hand massage, especially for those older people who may be deprived of touch and those people suffering from dementia.
Since then I have gained training in other modalities and continue to see the benefits of these, although I would do these now in my private capacity and not part of my nursing role. I am a trained Reiki Master Teacher, Angelic Reiki teacher, Angelic Reiki Soul Midwife, Crystal Therapy Practitioner, qualified Aromatherapist and Massage Therapist."

Tracy acts as 'first contact' for the BCMA, deals with membership and communication.
"I have been privileged to work with many 'BCMA Teams' during my time as the administrator, and it never ceases to amaze me that they are all so willing to share their knowledge and time for the BCMA and CAM in a volunteer capacity, each with passion and professionalism."
