Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing practised in China for thousands of years. It involves the insertion of fine sterilised needles into various parts of the body to treat a wide variety of conditions.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture seeks to manipulate the flow of Qi, or life energy through the body along pathways known as meridians (there are 365 Acu-points!)

Western scientific acupuncture focuses on how acupuncture can stimulate the nerves in the skin and muscle. It can increase the body's release of natural pain killers, has positive effects on the nervous system and general well being and can encourage the patient's body to heal and repair itself.
